Background

I started covering Philippine online gaming in 2017, on the payments side — writing about why withdrawals stalled and what players could actually do about it. That is still the lens. Most casino coverage is written from the marketing department outward; I try to write from the reader's bank statement backward.

The pieces I care most about here are the least commercial ones: the RTP and bankroll guide, which prices the house edge in pesos rather than percentages, and the warning-signs article, which exists because somebody has to publish the version that tells you to stop.

How I work

  • Primary sources first. Operator terms pages, regulator publications and payment-system documentation — not other affiliate sites.
  • Numbers get worked out, not quoted. If an article says a bonus costs ₱2,800, the arithmetic is shown on the page.
  • Reader reports matter. Withdrawal timings in our tables come from what readers actually experience, and they feed the scoring criteria.
  • AI drafts, a human decides. I use AI tools to research and draft, then verify and rewrite before anything publishes. Details on the disclaimer page.
  • Corrections are published, not buried. Dated, at the top of the page, describing what was wrong.

GCash and Maya deposits: fees, limits and cash-out times

E-wallets are instant in and slower out — and the delay is almost always KYC, not the wallet. Here are realistic timings and the fixes for a stalled cash-out.

Editorial independence

I do not accept payment to change a rating, remove a criticism or soften a red flag. GXGX earns commission from some partner links, which is disclosed on every page and explained in full on the affiliate disclosure page. If a commercial partner and a reader's interest ever conflict on this site, the reader wins — that is the whole basis of the review method.

A personal note. I have written about this industry long enough to have received the emails that come after a bad year. If reading the warning signs or the responsible gaming page feels uncomfortably relevant, please act on that today rather than next month. 21+, always, and never with money that has another job.
